Why Pixel 2 won't be impressive.

It's only a few weeks till pixel 2 launch and there's already a lots of leaks which tells pretty much everything about phone's hardware. And it doesn't look impressive at all ( as compared to iPhone 8's hardware ) We'll see better camera, OIS maybe, or dual cameras however it's very unlikely it will have 4k 60fps. So nothing new to get excited. The pixel 2 will use Snapdragon 835 chipset from Qualcomm which is pretty good but really weak ( 2 times ) in front of Apple's A11 bionic chip. Sadly Google doesn't make their own CPUs and Qualcomm doesn't have anything faster to offer untill a long time. It will have the same ufs 2.1 storage as Galaxy S8 which is very slow as compared to Apple's nVMe based storage. Just give up on UFS already sigh . It will improve on many design flaws that original pixel had, but there's nothing it will offer that Galaxy S8 doesn't ( talking about hardware purely ). And software isn&

Pixel 2 running snapdragon 835 benchmarked

https://madeby.google.com/intl/en_in/phone/ Google's home baked phone Pixel was the made to compete directly with iPhone. But upon release in 2016, it got mixed reviews. Despite having top of the line hardware and camera quality, it lacked on a few basic features that made it difficult to suggest to anyone and its high price didn't seem justifiable. Google has already started working on pixel 2 and a prototype phone code named Taimen, has been benchmarked on PrimateLabs website . Its running Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 @ 1.90 GHz 1 processor, 8 cores with 4Gb RAM which is standard for a 2017 smartphone. The phone scored pretty impressive scores. But still gets beaten by iPhone 7 in single core tests. Scores are some what similar to Samsung's Galaxy S8 in both single core and multi core. Pixel's vanilla android would make it snappier than Galaxy S8. The phone's specifications are still unknown and wont be launched anytime soon. keep in mind this was te

Microsoft's fluent design is a mix of android's material design and iOS blurred UI

Windows is all set to get a major overhaul to its UI with the upcoming fall update. All the buzz is about Fluent design (previously called project neon) its basically updates current design of elements which is very flat and opaque and adds a depth and transparency to it.. Here is a video showing five key elements that would be like guidelines for the developers to make their apps on There are five elements that will build the whole UI and framework of the apps and the OS itself. to summarize : Light Adds a pointer to elements just below the cursor / pointer. It also illuminates elements on which the focus is. this will be used widely in hololens and surface pen interface rather than a mouse interface. Depth Adds shadow elements which creates a depth and parallax effect. which is similar to material design in android. This will also change depth depending on apps and with correct animations, it can look a lot less boring as compared to current flat design. Motio
