VLC has revamped its UI and added a lot of new features. It looks more material and much cleaner. Some major changes include: -Support for 360 ° videos (cardboard not supported YET ) -Improved video cards - file info is now displayed on the thumbnail instead of below which makes more room. -Audio player and media list has received a major UI change and now has blurred UI seen in iOS. -Album view looks more material and has dynamic animations. -Animations when changing sorting mode. -Changes to TV interface. -Search interface received major face-lift which not only cosmetic but a lot more functional. -Support for android auto. -Action mode which lets you select multiple items. -DayNight mode integration. Google's communications vice president tweeted a sneak peak of Allo working on desktop. This is still in development phase. So far there are millions of users of this app. but it still lacks a lot of features which are available in WhatsApp. Google doesn't seem to like the idea of a unified messaging app. They also renamed Google messenger app (SMS only) which is now android messages. it will also support RTF. and will be default messaging app for android. Combining Allo and messenger would've made more sense, as more people will use it because it will come pre-installed.
