The update brings many new editing capabilities to the apps they have also fixed some bugs and added some accessibility options. WhatsApp the most popular internet messaging service launched in 2009 has around 600 million users. The app uses Sim card for authentication rather than user names and passwords this restricts its use oy for mobile phones. But this may change as guys on AndroidWorld.nl has while decoding the 2.11.471 version of apk  found certain mentions of WhatsApp web logging in and out of computers,tracking your status and latest activity in web sessions. This type of service is currently offered by telegram and some other clients this could be biggest update to the WhatsApp and could prove to be more productive. Recently reports surfaced claiming the production of 14nm chips but the client was unknown now a sample of the chip has reached apple for analysis and this confirms that the chips will be made for apple. Samsung won the contract to make the A9 chips for next gen iphone. it has been doing so since the first iphone in 2007. the current iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus runs A8 chip which has 20nm architecture and is already efficient than A7. the new A7 chip will be made on 14nm architecture and use the FinFET, 3D chip design which operates at a very low voltage and consume much less space this could mean decrease in power consumption and improved battery life it expected to   boost up the performance by 20% with 35% reduction in power consumption and are 15% smaller as compared to 20 nm chip. the production will be done in Samsung’s plant in Texas.

The upcoming snapdragon 810 is already in the talks and is expected to be seen in most of the flagships of 2015. but as recently reported, the chipset was experiencing some issues like overheating and problems with RAM controller and GPU drivers this could've mean a delay in the launch of flagships like samsung galaxy s6 and LG G4. but the company cleared that all the problems have been fixed the the production will be on schedule. The company also delighted people by announcing that the chip supports speeds equal to CAT 9 LTE (carrier aggregation 9) which could mean the download speeds up to 450mbps compared to 300mbps offered by snapdragon 805. the upload speed remains same that is 50 mbps. this is achieved by using 'carrier aggregation' which uses three bands of 20 Mhz simultaneously this would make it first chip to achieve CAT 9 connectivity across FDD/TDD carriers.  this could mean better performance and battery savings and faster downloads. source

Google is set to release its update to hangouts the app is set to release a major update to hangouts. The update brings many new features but no user interface changes. So you won't notice changes as soon as you update they have included some major features with the update which includes -All new stickers which can be accessed from the attachments menu -video filters which includes sepia, vignette, black & white, and more to access these you just need to swipe during a video call -it can now find your contacts so your friends who already have your number can more easily find and messages you in Hangouts -the green dot is now replaced with last seen status of the person -it now has a smart suggestions system which analyses your conversations so for eg:- if someone sends you "where are you" you'll get a option to share your location -there are some other changes too but they the google+ post didn't specify -the logo is redesigned too it now looks dark

Microsoft didn't mentioned that there will be cortana at the preview of windows 10. But rumors claimed that they are working on it as Microsoft wants to make a continuous experience for users it was very much plausible.  The new video posted on YouTube shows the cortana in action. It is still in beta and is very limited in function. It can be triggered from start menu and works similarly as it works in windows phones.

A video posted on google developers YouTube page stated the upcoming update to play services. The new 6.5 update will bring new APIs for Google drive, Google fit, and google Wallet. This will bring changes to the existing apps. Y ou can now add both public and application private custom file properties to a Drive file which can be used to build very efficient search queries and allow apps to save information. Plus you can also manually cancel uploads. The new API allows to choose the conditions you want for syncing which could save a lot of resources. Google fit has better control over the sensors and will record data more accurately and in a more productive way. A very big update includes the new Google maps API which now has a new toolbar plus a new lite mode which is a static image with less data that means it doesn't requires consistent data exchange it also saves all the layers. Google introduced material design principles that will be implemented along all the apps. Material design is bold, smooth and have nice animations. Many apps have been already updated to material design but still many major apps like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp haven't updated their apps to material design many people create mockups of how apps might look like if they were updated to material design. Now from taking inspiration from material design a  Aurélien Salomon has created a mockup of the how web version Google search would look like with material design. When the android 5.0 was launched not everything was updated to material design but Google is slowly updating all its apps. Recently they updated playstore now they are pushing the update for YouTube there are many design changes like -the status bar now take the color of the channel your browsing -the ripple effect which is standard in material design now can be seen on user interaction -changed icons and loading animation -layout is changed too. Now looks much more clean -redesigned filters menu the update should be on the way but you can grab the apk now.

The play store has a new update (5.1.11) its has very subtle design changes. The main change being the slider side menu which now slides from full screen.
