How does nokia N1 performs against nexus 9

Nokia, on monday revealed to launch a new product without indicating any details. the mysterious black happens to be a tablet named 'nokia N1' the tablet was launched yesterday and created a lots of buzz because of its resemblance with ipad. FIX : Swipe unlock disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage

Many users face this issue this happens due to installing certificates from storage or using VPN these require a secure password or pin or pattern lock. Xiaomi mi5 image and specifications leaked

Xiaomi is one of the buzziest smartphone makers. They recently launched their flagship mi4 in July and have already started working on the next one. Here are the leaked specs: 5.5 inch Quad HD display 3 GB RAM Snapdragon 805 chipset 20 MP snapper A photo leaked on a Chinese social networking site 'weibo' shows what mi5 might look like. If these images are true the phone has a bigger display than mi4 and it has very less bezels on the side which makes it look more premium. There is no word on pricing or availability as of for now. Xiaomi is currently number one smartphone manufacturer in China. And had stated plans to focus on Indian market, as their phones were  huge success in India.

How to disable chrome tabs in android recents menu

Following the  lollipop update, The recents menu ( app switcher ) has been revamped by Google and now shows the apps as the stacked cards which you can swipe and to switch between apps or choose to close it. Google has added one distinct feature to it that your opened chrome tabs also appear as separate cards. So lets say you have 4 opened tabs on your chrome browser they will all show up as different cards. This may seem like a useful feature many people may not like it specially if you have many tabs opened which may look like a mess in recents menu. If you are one of them you'll be happy to hear that you can turn it off. To do this, Launch chrome Open menu Go to settings And tap ' merge tabs and apps ' Set slider to off That's it now chrome will appear as single card even if you have multiple tabs opened

All WP8 phones to be updated to WP10, says Microsoft

Windows phone was launched in November 2010 brought metro UI ( inspired by Zune HD ) to smartphones. the home screen consists of the "live tiles" which update himself and display information. WP OS was launched with version 7 which was in continuance with the old windows mobile OS. which was updated with v7.5 (also known as mango) in may 2011. In the year 2012 another update (tango) was released to lower hardware requirements of the OS so that the OS can run on phones with less powerful hardware. later on October 2012, Microsoft released WP8 it replaced the previous windows CE-based architecture with one based on windows NT . the WP8 added many software improvements and support for better hardware like multi core processors & high resolution screens. with the launch of WP8,Microsoft announced that the WP7 phones would not get updated to WP8 which was very disappointing for WP7 users. later Microsoft released a small update for WP7 phones which were updated to v7.

Xiaomi the company which has conquered China never fails to amaze. And they have recently announced, in their blog that they are working on lollipop and plan to update soon. Google search 4.0 with material design

The factory images of lollipop for hammerhead were just released. The update brings many UI changes. Google is slowly updating all of its system apps. Google had not started rolling Google search (named as Google in playstore ) the update version is 4.0. It brings about many UI changes and many new features. Its more smart than ever. The app have fluid animations bold colors and revamped layout It will now remind you when you have missed any emails or reminders. With the KitKat update google combined hangouts with SMS. But lots of users complained about this and installed many other SMS apps. Therefore in android lollipop they have reintroduced the SMS app.  It was previewed on nexus 9 by Google and it is trenched with material goodness. It has all bold colors and animations. The SMS capabilities of hangouts still remains we have to see what Google has planned. Its default SMS and MMS app for lollipop. The app is very basic. You can send images and voice notes very easily. The UI somehows reminds of the messenger app from Facebook. The animations doesn't always looks smooth there's a slight stutter. WhatsApp to be free for Indian users

WhatsApp, the most popular instant messaging service, now owned by Facebook has more than 200 million users. The service is free for a year and after that it charges a nominal 1$ per year. But according to a report by Deccan chronicle, the 1$ annual fee would not apply to Indian users. Neeraj Arora, VP, recently told the students of Indian school of business, Hyderabad that the service will be free for Indian users. According to the company, there is insufficient penetration of credit cards and debit cards in the country. This could be good news for the Indians. They don't wanna lose their major users as 1/10 of the total users are Indians that is 70 million.

Microsoft plans to provide free internet across India

According to a report in Hindustan times, Microsoft has decided to use the "white space" ( the unused spectrum between two TV channels ), to provide free internet connection. Microsoft is seeking permission to kick-start the project in two major districts as of now and would cost $1.2 billion (approx.) to connect 250,000 gram panchayats via optic fibre cables, thereby providing digital infrastructure as to every citizen and provide necessary services on demand. Bhaskar Pramanik, chairman, Microsoft India, explains WiFi has a range of only about 100 metres, whereas the 200-300 MHz spectrum band available in the white space can reach up to 10 km, This spectrum belongs mainly to Doordarshan and the government and is not used at all. We have sought clearance for a pilot project in two districts. the initiative will help bring Internet accessible to a vast population a cost-effective manner. Microsoft launches its first phone without the "Nokia" branding

Microsoft last month reported to launch its first phone with "Microsoft lumia" branding on Tuesday. As expected the company launched its first phone and its called Microsoft lumia 535. The phone has some really great hardware and a very low price. The Microsoft blog posted that about the phone as 5×5×5 smartphone package as it has a 5 inch screen size 5 mp primary camera And a 5 mp front facing camera The phone will have denim update out of the box which means it'll  have all the Microsoft goodies integrated nicely in the phone like Skype, onenote, Action Center, Word Flow, Live Folders, office and Cortana. How to use screen pinning in android lollipop

Android lollipop is just about to launch, one of the new feature is the screen pinning feature. It lets you pin a specific app on screen so that when you give someone your phone, they can only use that app. This feature is turned off by default in the lollipop so you need to enable it. Follow these steps to enable screen pinning on your phone running android lollipop: 1. Go to settings 2. And then go to security 3. Then select screen pinning 4. Enable it How to use it : 1. Go to recents menu by pressing the square button on the right. You should have a preview of all your opened apps previews as cards 2. Then scroll through app previews and pull the card of the app you want to pin. The pin icon must appear on the bottom right. 3. Click the pin icon. You will get a pop-up asking if you want to pin app. Click start. 4. You'll see that none of the soft keys responds and you can't close or use any other app another than the pinned app.

Samsung Galaxy S4 was one of the company's biggest selling phone thr phone had some great specifications and camera with many new features from Samsung like air view, smart stay, etc. With the Samsung launched the GS5, Samsung made some UI tweaks which the GS4 didn't got. But this year gs4 is about to get a major update with the launch of lollipop. And they have already started working on their update. HTC M9 rumors - 5.2 inch 2k display, snapdragon 805

HTC one M8 was HTC's flagship for the year it had top of the line specs with exceptionally great looks and build. The HTC one m8 features a 5 inch display with 1920×1080p resolution, with snapdragon 800 processor powering the device coupled with 2gb of ram. The phone had a internal storage of 32gb with the option to expand it upto 128gb via micro SD card. But all these specifications looks a little bit outdated. With lollipop near the launch OEMs are working to get their skins on top of the stock Android. Every OEM has their unique skin which makes their device UI look different than other OEMs Samsung runs touchwiz on top of Android which is heavily customized with many visual elements. Samsung, this Korean giant is known to have a smartphone at every price bracket. One of it's most successful devices was galaxy grand series. Samsung galaxy note 5 might have a 4K display

Most of the flagships today's are equipped with quad HD (2K) displays these are amazingly sharp and have very high PPI. But Samsung wants to take it a step ahead. The company analyst recently said that they are working on 4k ( 3,840x2,160) displays but they didn't mentioned the device.  Specifications of GS6 also leaked recently but they didn't have any information about the screen size and the resolution. The note 5 is the most possible candidate for this display. Galaxy note 5 is expected to have a 5.9 inch display which is 0.2 inch bigger than the its predecessor note 4 which has 5.7 inch 2k display. Samsung always adds a  few inches to it's new note device since Google's nexus 6 made by Motorola features a 5.9 inch display so 5.9 inch is the expected size for the note 5. Google maps updated with material design APK DOWNLOAD

The material make up of all the gapps is started the calender app was updated most recently and now is the maps app The app changes many visual elements and looks like the newly updated gapps. The first thing you notice is the FAB or FABS (2) in this case One is for pointing your location. Another one is for finding route. The side menu has been changed as well. No additional options has been added yet. Another change is when you click on a place and when it shows details about that place.
