Can overcharging damage your smartphone?

FBI concerned over the Apple's and Google's impervious encryption settings

Apple released its new iOS 8 update they mostly discussed about the UI and user interaction but there’s one major change in iOS 8 that most users probably won’t notice,
With the new update the users will have to set a passcode once they power on their phone for the first time and the phone will be encrypted then even apple itself will not be able to unlock it
this update was made to protect users from hackers.
the new feature is called secure enslave which stores the fingerprint data & passcode within its A7 chip
this is not stored on apple servers, icloud or anywhere else
so even apple cant break into secure enslave

Officials says that even with secure enslave there is one loophole, the computer has a copy of your pin. iTunes exchanges information between iphones and computers or tablets while the Apple device is locked down
however this will work if your iphone was used after rebooting
so say if the phone is turned off during investigation then the officers wont be able to exploit this

Android also,in the google i/o 2014 announced the similar encryption in their android L release
they have also partnered with samsung for the security features

the encryption feature will turned on by default
now this raises problem with crime investigators
FBI has been discussing this matter with google and apple
they want the companies to work out a way to be able to encrypt the data but they want the keys in case of any criminal investigation

Federal Bureau of Investigations accused the companies marketing products that would let people put themselves beyond the law’s reach.

FBI director James Comey told reporters
''I like and believe very much that we should have to obtain a warrant from an independent judge to be able to take the content of anyone's closet or their smart phone,''
''The notion that someone would market a closet that could never be opened  — even if it involves a case involving a child kidnapper and a court order— to me does not make any sense.''
