Google ties with Samsung for the its KNOX security features

With Android L complete UI overhaul is not the only new thing. the new update also bring improvements in interaction with notifications, a deeper integration with web and chrome.
it also has the new ART runtime which should make apps quicker and launcher quicker than dalvik.
the new ART is also built to support 64-bit chips, so it would be able to utilize the new handsets which have started to hit market.
plus there is also a battery saver mode. and Google also introduced 'project Volta' which ensures that the apps don't wake the device that often it uses the scheduler api, so that apps will wake wake the device together and this may increase the standby time
Google is also making a push into enterprise. there will be new APIs which will allow users to live personal and business data side by side
these new APIs are built on Samsung's KNOX, which was announced at the Google i/o
container that keeps your enterprises data safe.

At Google i/o Sundar Pichai confirmed through his keynote, their tie up with Samsung for their Samsung KNOX


“Samsung has been pioneering to bring Android to the enterprise. We are grateful for their contribution to the Android open source project. Jointly we are bringing enterprise-grade security and management capabilities to all manufacturers participating in the Android ecosystem,” said Hiroshi Lockheimer, VP of Engineering, Android.

according to this, it will enable security on mobile platforms for the enterprise clients. Google may heavily benefit from the Samsung KNOX security solution
with the release of android L, Samsung KNOX security features will be integrated in android & many enterprise clients and other users may benefit from this
