Android wear 5.0 lollipop features leaked

Android lollipop brings lot of new features and a complete new UI to the tablets and phones. But this year the the android wear was very trending watches from LG, Motorola, Samsung were able to attract a lot to attention.

The lollipop update is just around the corner and there are leaks of many OEMs showing how it might look on their flagship smartphone. But this year Android wear being a big success there are Leaks surfaced which shows the features of the new android wear running lollipop.

The new watch companion app is updated with material design as well and now has new features like:


  • The new battery monitor. Its similar to like that in the phones it displays the graph and percent usage per app of the smart watch on your phone.
  • You can also now see the storage on your smart watch and monitor which app is taking how much amounts of space on your smart watch
  • Debugging over Bluetooth is back which is great news for developers.

The watch interface is changed too and brings many changes like:

  • Many new watch face improvements, the lollipop brings new watch face API which allows you to change it via companion app. You can also customize your watch face with the settings menu displayed right on the watch face. Weather notifications are now displayed directly on watch face so instead of swiping to Google now you can directly see weather updates.
  • You can now recover a dismissed notification by simply swiping up which brings the undo button.
  • You can control Brightness right from the smart watch and android lollipop also brings preset modes

- sun light mode
- silent mode
These can be accessed by first swiping down and then on left
  • There are new accessibility features

- large text
- magnification gestures
- color inversion
These can be useful for the visually impaired. These can be enabled or disabled from settings menu.


  • The OK Google menu now sorts your most frequently and recently used actions and rearrange its options to provide better and faster accessibility. This feature can be seen on the Google glass interface.
