Smartphone manufacturers now a days have a flagship line a mid line device and many budget friendly devices which are updated every year or six months they don't usually make any major design changes to devices except upgrading the hardware.
But some times they like to experiment a little and do something different too. Like Samsung recently launched galaxy note edge along with note 4. The phone has a curved edge which can be used for various tasks in different apps.
LG has done something unique too by launching AKA. The phone has specs of a mid-range smartphone it has a decent 5 inch 720p display. 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1.5 GB RAM. The phone has LTE radio, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and most features which most smart phones now a days have. The phone's camera is a 8 MP camera with laser focus and has a 2 MP front facing camera. It has a 2160 mAH battery which should give it a SOT of around 5 hours. AKA has 16 GB onboard storage which is expandable via microSD slot. It runs android KitKat out of the box and would probably receive lollipop update.
Now what's so "unique" about this phone? The phone has eyes.
Yes you heard it right the phone has working pair of eyes which actually blink.

LG AKA has a partial front flip cover which leaves the top the phone uncovered which displays the eyes. The eyes have different character according to the color of the case : Eggy (yellow), Wookie (white), Soul (blue) and YoYo (pink).
This is aimed at younger audience and people who want something different with their phones. It may seem creepy but cool at the same time. The company launches it with "no fun no phone" tag line
The phone is not available for the global market as of for now. It is only available at south Korea. AKA costs around 500,000 Korean won that translates to $460.
