Windows 10 phone - what we know

Microsoft teased windows 10 for PC along some other products too. They also previewed a glimpse of what windows 10 will look like on the phone or a tablet smaller than 8 inches. Here are some of the things you see in windows 10 on phone.

-There will be One Store for Phone, Desktop and Xbox from where you can download and buy apps and games etc

-Recently installed apps will now show up on top of the app list.

-You can expand the action buttons on the top and then swipe to dismiss. You get to peek more into the notification, without actually opening the app.

-Settings is now a “universal app”. It had been overhauled and reorganised It also looks very similar to the settings on Windows.

-Universal applications that work for both Phone and PC run with same code are optimized for different screen and hardware, this allows a seamless pleasurable experience

Office Features:

-Universal Office will carry recent documents that goes from device to device just like google office apps
-New App for Outlook and Calendar across all Windows 10 platforms which will be synched automatically
-All new Word engine powering Outlook app.
-Gesture Support in Outlook app which allows you to: Left swipe to delete and right swipe to add a flag to Outlook mail client.

Photo App Features:

-Same Photo app runs on both the phones, formatted differently for different screens.
-The photo app will automatically enhance photos.  It can remove red-eye, adjust brightness etc.
-Photo app will also automatically create albums based on time and location the photos were taken. Looks like Lumia Storyteller feature.

Music App Features:

-Microsoft will allow users to upload their music collections to OneDrive which can be streamed across all windows 10 devices easily

Spartan Browser:

-The all new Spartan browser will be available on phones too
-It has got a new powerful engine which renders all new websites better than ever (as claimed by Microsoft)
-it has a new 'annotation' feature which allows users to write directly on webpages using Integrated stylus inking support and also allows to add comments to it.
-You can Share, save or copy marked-up pages.
-It also comes with “Standardize Reading Mode” which clears all the clutter from the webpage for easy reading.
-You can also save articles offline on your device which will be synced to all your devices.
-It Comes with Cortana integration and will appear on the address bar if there is something she knows about the page
