Some times you may encounter this cringe worthy problem, where when you open PlayStore it says unable to connect. Also most apps like snapchat and most games don't work except for IM apps, even after trying different networks and WiFi
Most common fixes -
-Reboot phone
-Clear playstore cache
If it doesn't works
The problem is in hosts file. Some apps might have changed your hosts file. That's what happens if you install apps outside PlayStore and grant them root access.
To fix this. You simply need to edit the host file. You will need to be rooted to do this.
(Modifying any system file is only for advanced users only. If not performed properly can break the OS. Proceed at your own risk)
Steps-
-You'll need to grant ES file explorer (or any root explorer) super user rights.
-Go to - system/etc/
And find a file with the name "hosts"
(This file won't have any extension)
-Now open this file in ES text editor
You will see 2 ip addreses
add "#* before the second IP adress
-Save this file. Wait for few minutes. This will probably fix your problem and might save you from an unnecessary factory reset
