Can overcharging damage your smartphone?

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 brings Gigabit LTE, WI-Fi, Iris scanner support and more

Created for power user, It is based on 10nm transistors, thats three billion ultra-efficient transistors. CPU is an octa-core (kyro cores) 64bit chip which can be clocked at 2.45Ghz.
To power the graphics side, it has an Adreno 540 GPU  with support for OpenGL_ES 3.2 , OpenCL 2.0 full , Vulkan , DX12

It supports Qualcomm quick charge 4.0 with Qualcomm WiPOwer wireless charging

It supports UFS 2.1 and SD 3.0 (UHS-I). Would be exciting to see if it holds up against iphone which uses nVMe.

Improved DSP and audio capabilities with 3D positional audio, superior SNR (Signal-to-Noise ratio), and native DSD format support for true high fidelity playback

On the connectivity side of thing, They have updated all their modems and radios. It uses Super fast Snapdragon X16 Gigabit LTE modem and support for 802.11ad multi-gigabit, as well as integrated 2x2 11ac MU-MIMO WI-Fi, which can read peak speeds of 4.6Gbps. Also supports bluetooth 5.0.

the video shows native support for Iris scanner, which is part of its secure features based on its haven security suite. it also supports fingerprint, voice, and facial recognition.

VR and AR capabilities that were introduced with snapdragon 820 are now polished, and consumes less power, gives better performance and reduces heat generated. Also supports Google's daydream.

Camera performance seems to be improved a lot and video shows ability to zoom smoothly using complex algorithms. It also has EIS 3.0 for 4K video stabilization. Improvements in auto focus system also support for 2PD (which means each pixel of the camera are configured as a photodiode which receives light)
