Google is rolling out a new smart unlock mode which will figure out weather the phone is in the hand or pocket. the feature is called ''on-bodydetection'' it uses accelerometer to figure out your position. it will stay unlocked if - you're holding it in hand -or carrying in handbag or pocket  the device will unlock automatically if its placed vertically down. picking it down requires you to manually unlock it. this will be one of the smart unlock methods other than trusted devices - which unlocks your phone if a trusted device is connected to it trusted face - which unlocks your phone using face detection and new trusted feature - which unlocks your device if you are in few miles of the preset location this was first noticed on nexus 4 running 5.0.1 and now can be seen on many devices. this seems to be a small rollout. it's year's CES was very bland as not many new innovations were seen apart from some manufacturers. So here's a recap of CES 2015 Probably the most talked about device was LG G flex 2. The upgrade original needed. LG made the phone better than ever and now has better hardware and the design is stronger. LG is also working on flexible displays so we might see something more in MWC Lg smart watch watch running WebOS was seen but the company didn't revealed anything about it. LG fxo was showcased with transparent body which was gimmicky and didn't quite impressed rather it looked cheap plasticky feel. It runs firefox OS which isn't great either. ZTE announced the all new ATE sPro2 projector at CES 2015. This tiny projector is a smart one and supports 4G LTE. the projector is a AT&T exclusive and users will have to pay monthly fee to AT&T for network The projector can project 720p images up to 120 inches with a 200 lumens brightness. Which is a lot for such a tiny projector.Not only that this smart projector can act as a WiFi hotspot allowing to connect to up to 8 devices Simultaneously. That's not it the projector boasts a 5 inch touchscreen on top running android 4.4 KitKat which is powered by snapdragon 800 processor and has 6300 mah battery. The projector has multiple USB 3.0 jacks, HDMI, and audio ports. They have fully loaded the projector and the possibilities are endless. The pricing and release date of the projector is yet to be announced.

Photography trends of people have evolved so have so have the phone cameras. People  nowadays share their memorable moments with the world by taking pictures and videos. One platform which is best at it is Instagram..it allows users to add pictures along with hashtags and add filters to make them beautiful. Instagram in their blog announced an update which adds five new filters -  Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden and Perpetua. These filters soften and mod colors of your photos to make them look beautiful. Following the update received to iOS apps. Google is releasing the update to docs, slides, & sheets. The update brings many new editing capabilities to the apps they have also fixed some bugs and added some accessibility options. WhatsApp the most popular internet messaging service launched in 2009 has around 600 million users. The app uses Sim card for authentication rather than user names and passwords this restricts its use oy for mobile phones. But this may change as guys on AndroidWorld.nl has while decoding the 2.11.471 version of apk  found certain mentions of WhatsApp web logging in and out of computers,tracking your status and latest activity in web sessions. This type of service is currently offered by telegram and some other clients this could be biggest update to the WhatsApp and could prove to be more productive. There is no mention of Facebook login in the code so The WhatsApp will web authentication could be done using QR codes or random codes or IDs. There is no official word on the matter but this seems very  likely to happen considering the pressure from competitors.

Recently reports surfaced claiming the production of 14nm chips but the client was unknown now a sample of the chip has reached apple for analysis and this confirms that the chips will be made for apple. Samsung won the contract to make the A9 chips for next gen iphone. it has been doing so since the first iphone in 2007. the current iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus runs A8 chip which has 20nm architecture and is already efficient than A7. the new A7 chip will be made on 14nm architecture and use the FinFET, 3D chip design which operates at a very low voltage and consume much less space this could mean decrease in power consumption and improved battery life it expected to   boost up the performance by 20% with 35% reduction in power consumption and are 15% smaller as compared to 20 nm chip. the production will be done in Samsung’s plant in Texas.

The upcoming snapdragon 810 is already in the talks and is expected to be seen in most of the flagships of 2015. but as recently reported, the chipset was experiencing some issues like overheating and problems with RAM controller and GPU drivers this could've mean a delay in the launch of flagships like samsung galaxy s6 and LG G4. but the company cleared that all the problems have been fixed the the production will be on schedule. The company also delighted people by announcing that the chip supports speeds equal to CAT 9 LTE (carrier aggregation 9) which could mean the download speeds up to 450mbps compared to 300mbps offered by snapdragon 805. the upload speed remains same that is 50 mbps. this is achieved by using 'carrier aggregation' which uses three bands of 20 Mhz simultaneously this would make it first chip to achieve CAT 9 connectivity across FDD/TDD carriers.  this could mean better performance and battery savings and faster downloads. source
